From Los Angeles Writing Sessions to Live Instruments: TOMER Prepares North
TOMER’s forthcoming album North brings together 10 songs produced with Dor Daniel, with three advance singles planned and the first currently targeted for February 2027.
A temporary stay in Los Angeles gave TOMER the starting point for North, his upcoming full-length album scheduled for 2027. He wrote hundreds of songs during that period before choosing the material he would spend the next two years developing with producer Dor Daniel.
North follows Foretold, TOMER’s seven-song debut EP released in 2023. Around its release, he performed in Tel Aviv, Kyiv, and Los Angeles, with appearances at Tmuna Club, Bel Etage, The Viper Room, and The Mint. He released a standalone single later that year before turning his attention to the writing and recording that would lead to the album.
Building North in the Studio
Before recording began, TOMER reduced his extensive collection of songs to a few dozen and brought them to Daniel. Their work together became a process of selecting, arranging, and recording the 10 tracks that now make up North.
The sessions centered on live instruments, with drums, bass, and guitars supporting the songs. Across two years of studio work, TOMER and Daniel developed the arrangements and performances into a complete album.
For TOMER, the project represents the next step beyond his debut EP and the first opportunity to share the music he has been working on since his last release in 2023.
Three Singles Will Introduce the Project
The planned singles are “You Deserve Better,” “Half A Broken Heart,” and “Billionaire.” Their release sequence has yet to be finalized, with the first currently targeted for February 2027. Music-video shoots are also planned, and confirmed release dates will be announced as the rollout develops.
TOMER is also planning to take the project on tour following the album’s release. Summer 2027 is the tentative window, with locations and performance dates still to be confirmed.
Beginning with the advance singles, North will bring TOMER’s recent songwriting and recording work to listeners, connecting the material written in Los Angeles with the album completed alongside Daniel.
